For the 2020-2021 School Year
The NYSDOH and the NYSED have required reopening plans from schools to be submitted by July 31. Schools are required to have a plan for in-person, hybrid, and remote learning in the report and then state which plan they hope to implement going forward. Governor Cuomo will make the final decision on reopening in early August and schools will comply with the appropriate plan.
Hope Christian Academy has made detailed plans for all possible scenarios and if allowed, will implement our full-time reopening plan. Our small class sizes allow for social distancing and procedures have been put in place for screening, cleaning, and daily activity to comply with regulations put forth by the Department of Health and keep our students safe. Our full-time reopening plan can be seen by clicking on the pdf below. Should the Governor require a different plan, those details will be released at a later date.
For families who choose to keep their children home but would like online support, HCA, along with ABeka Academy, will offer Pro-Teach Video classes for full-time learning or offer support by subject. More information can be found by filling out the Contact form on this website and noting your interest in online classes there.
Please check back to this website in the future for updates based on the administration’s final decision on the reopening of schools in New York.
